IN THE BEGINNING
Inspired by Genesis 1
In the beginning, God made
the heavens and the earth
Now, the earth was formless and empty
And darkness was over the surface of the deep
Then, God said let there be light
And there was light on the first day
And the sky was formed on the second day
And dry land appeared on the third day
And the stars could be seen on the fourth day
Then, God made all creatures on the fifth
day
And God made man on the sixth day
Made in His image, and His likeness
Made to rule over all His creatures
Then, God blessed the seventh day
The day He rested from all the work He has done
INSTRUMENTAL
Oh, God made man on the sixth day
Made in His image, and His likeness
Born to be His child
IN HIS TIME
Inspired by Ecclesiastes 3
In His time, He made everything good
In His time, He formed this world
There are seasons and days and years
There is a time for everything
In His time, He foretells what shall be
In His time, He waits and sees
Only He can tell what the future holds
His plans will unfold, in His good time
There’s a time to weep and a time to
laugh
A time to mourn, and a time to dance
There’s a time to embrace and a time to refrain
A time to search and to give up
There’s a time for love, and a time
to hate
A time for war, and a time for peace
There’s a time to be silent, and a time to speak
There is a time for everything
In His time, He will answer your pray’rs
In His time, He will guide your ways
You must wait and ask for the wisdom He brings
Because His time is not your time
There’s a time to sow, and a time to
reap
There’s a time to congregate
There’s a time to work, and a time to rest
There is a time for everything…There is a time for everything
There is a time for everything
THE SONG IN MY HEART
I will sing of the heavens above
I will sing of the moon and the stars
I will praise my Creator, my Master
From the innermost depths of my heart
I will tell of His power and might
I will speak of His words of life
I will glorify Him all my days
I will bask in the light of His love
There’s a song in my heart that keeps
playing and playing
It’s a prayer and song of thanksgiving
There’s no word that can really describe what I’m
feeling
And so, I will sing it instead
(humming)
I will sing of His mercy and grace
Of His goodness, I’ll shout in praise
In my life, I have proven that He is the One
Who has given me all that I need
There’s a song in my heart that keeps
playing and playing
It’s a prayer and song of thanksgiving
There’s no word that can really describe what I’m
feeling
And so, I’ll sing it instead…
I will sing this song in my heart
LOVE HIM WITH ALL YOUR HEART
Exodus 20, Galatians 5:19-21, Matthew 5:1-12
Love Him with all your heart,
With all your soul, and all your strength
We must love Him with all our heart,
With all our soul, and all our strength
You shall have no other gods but Him
You shall make no idol of anything
You shall not use His name in vain
For He is your God
Keep His Sabbath day holy
Honor you father and mother
You shall not murder
You must never steal
You shall not speak a lie
And you shall respect your neighbor’s rights
Hatred, envy and selfishness
Arrogance, pride, immorality
Filthy thoughts and filthy words
Have no place in His kingdom
But blessed are the humble in spirit
For they shall inherit the earth
And those who hunger for righteousness
They shall surely be filled
Blessed are those whose hearts are pure,
One day they will see God…Our God, the God of love,
compassion and grace
YOU GAVE ME THE
RIGHT
Inspired by Deuteronomy 30:11-20
You gave me the right
To choose my way, and live and learn
You may give advice
But that is all that You will do
And though I hurt myself
Whenever things go wrong
You are always there
And I can just come home
You can see right through the heart of me
You can see forever
You can tell what would be good for me
Still you gave me freedom, because you believe in me
You gave me the gift
To use, and to make something great
You gave me the mind
To think, and to explore the world
And though I have my doubts, that come from
Time to time
I look up to the stars
And soon, my faith returns
Oh, you made me just like a work of art
Something good and precious
I believe that deep in the heart of me
Lies a great potential, waiting to fly so high…
Much higher than I ever could imagine
So high…so high…
Oh, you can see right through the heart of
me
You can see forever
You can tell what would be good for me
Still you gave me freedom, because you believe in me
I know you do
I know that you believe in me
LOVE
Inspired by 1 Corinthians 13
Though I speak the tongues of angels
Even though I prophesy
Though I understand all mysteries,
But have no love,
I am nothing
Love is patient, love is kind
Envies not, and is not proud
Where knowledge is, it will pass away
Where there are tongues, they will be stilled
Though I speak with angels’ tongues
But without love,
I am nothing
Though my faith make mountains tremble
Though I give all to the poor
Though I give my body to the flame
But no love
I am nothing
Love is patient, love is kind
Envies not, and is not proud
Where knowledge is, it will pass away
Where there are tongues, they will be stilled
Though I speak with angels’ tongues
But without love,
I am nothing
LIKE SHEEP ASTRAY
Inspired by Isaiah 53
He grew up, tender as a little tree
He neither had beauty nor majesty
He was despised, rejected
He was a man of sorrows
Surely, he took up our infirmities
And carried the weight of sin just like a lamb
And yet we struck him down to death
And by his wounds, we’re healed
Chorus
We are all like sheep that went astray
We have turned, each to our own
But the Lord has laid upon himself
The iniquity of us all
He was slaughtered as a sacrifiece
And yet he remained so silent through it all
And never did he utter
A word that spoke of hate
Chorus
We are all like sheep that went astray
We have turned, each to our own
But the Lord has laid upon himself
The iniquity of us all
We are all like sheep that went astray
We have turned, each to our own
But the Lord has laid upon himself
The iniquity of us all
WHO AM I TO YOU?
Every night I look above
See the starlight fill the sky
Then I close my eyes and soon,
I think of you
You can watch me from afar
Look so deep into my mind
As the days go by, you guide me
Through and through
What am I to you?
A little speck of dust
Just a tiny grain of sand in the sea
Who am I to you?
That you should care if I will live
Forevermore, just like you
Who am I, that you should die
For me
Bridge
Every night, I need you
Every minute, everyday
I know…You’re always there…
Repeat all except bridge
THE DREAM OF THE KING
Inspired by Daniel 2: Nebuchadnezzar’s
Dream
The king of Babylon had a dream
That a giant statue appeared before him
Its head was gold,
Its chest and arms were silver
Its belly and thighs were bronze
Its legs were iron
Its feet were partly of iron, and partly of clay
Then, all of a sudden
A stone came from nowhere
It broke the statue, and filled the whole earth!
The king of Babylon wanted to know
The meaning of his dream
So, Daniel told it to him
The head of gold is the kingdom of Babylon
The chest and arms of silver is a kingdom that
Will come after
And so is the belly and thigh of bronze
The legs of iron is a mighty kingdom
That will exist till the end
In the final days of its kings, God will establish His kingdom
That will never end
I WAS BORN TO BE
A KING
Inspired by Isaiah 9:6-7, John 18:36-37,
John 3:16
I was born to be a king
And the government shall be upon me
I’ll be called Wonderful Counsellor
Mighty God, Everlasting Father
Prince of Peace of a government
Reigning on David’s throne
Over a kingdom where righteousness lives
I was born to heal the sick
To bring the light in the darkness
To teach the truth about faith and love
To heal the broken heart
Oh, God so loved the world
That He sent me, His only Son
That those who shall believe in me
Shall have eternal life
THE MOUNTAIN OF
THE LORD
Inspired by Isaiah 2
In the last days, the mountain of the Lord
Will be chief among the mountains
And raised upon the hills
And all nations will stream to it
And people will say
Come, let us go
To the mountain of the Lord
Come, let us go
To the house of the God of Jacob
He will teach us His ways
That we may always walk along
The paths of life
In the last days,
The law will come from Zion,
And God will judge the nations
And settle all disputes
And all plowshares will be turned into pruning hooks
And no nation will wage war
Against any other nation
Come, let us go
To the mountain of the Lord
Come, let us go
To the house of the God of Jacob
He will teach us His ways,
That we may always walk along the paths of life
THE TRUMPET
Inspired by 1 Corinthians 15, John
3;1-21
The trumpet shall sound
And the dead shall awake
In the twinkling of an eye
At the last trumpet call
Those who sleep in the dust
Shall be raised back to life
Once more
With what body?
With what substance?
And what kind of form shall they have?
Foolish question? Said the apostle,
Who answered in this way…
When you sow, you shall reap
Not a seed, but a plant
It’s something totally different
And so it shall be, that the body of flesh
Shall be changed to a body of light
Flesh and blood cannot inherit
The kingdom that is to come
It’s a kingdom of God’s children
Reborn as children of light
BEING HUMAN
Inspired by Daniel 12:2-3 and Job
14
Being human isn’t easy
In one moment you are happy
Then, the next…you are sad
And when you love,
You will feel both joy and pain
Being human makes me weary
We are candles slowly burning
Growing older day by day
And all we have is a temporary time
Chorus:
So I hope that one day,
I’ll be free from this chain
And I hope that one day,
I’ll be free from all pain
I will hope for that day to come
When we will shine as brightly
As the sun
Being human isn’t easy
We get sick, and we get bruised
We can win, and we can lose
And there are times
When there’s nothing we can do
Chorus
So I hope that one day,
I’ll be free from this chain
And I hope that one day,
I’ll be free from all pain
I will hope for that day to come
When we will shine as brightly
As the sun
IF TODAY WAS THE
LAST DAY OF YOUR LIFE
Inspired by James 4:13-14, Mark 13:32-36,
Luke 12:16-21
If today was the last day of your life,
What would you live, and what would you do?
Will you say I love you to the ones around you?
Will you look at the world from a different view?
Refrain:
I’ve been going on like everybody
Struggling just to earn my money
Going out, and coming home every single day
In my life I sometimes laugh…and some other times I
cry
I get lost in all my troubles
And that is why…
Chorus:
When He comes, I don’t think that I’ll be ready
Or if I die today, there’s no time to prepare
I’ve got a long, long way to go
To make that big, big change
I can only ask for mercy
If the Lord will come today
There are times, when I tell myself this
thing
That today was my last day
And I’ll think of what I’ll do
I’d like to give more love and spend more time
With the ones that I hold dear
For today might also be…their last day, too!
Repeat Refrain & Chorus
End: I’ve got a long, long way to go…I’ve
got a long, long way to go…
I’ve got a long, long way to go…to make that big,
big change
I can only ask for mercy if the Lord will come today
PILGRIMS
Inspired by Hebrews 11:1-39, Revelation
21:1-22
We are only passing through
We are pilgrims on our way
Looking forward to a promised land
To a city indescribable
To a joy that never ends
I want to be there
I want to be there
While the world keeps turning on
I will take the million steps
That will lead me to my final destination
Crossing over to a world of light
Crossing over to a world so bright!
Chorus:
Join me, Join me!
Join me on a journey to the stars
Join me, share with me
This hope that keeps on burning in my heart
We are only passing through
We are pilgrims on our way
Looking forward to a promised land
To a city indescribable
To a joy that never ends
I want to be there
I want to be there
We are only passing through
We are pilgrims on our way
Looking forward to a promised land
To a city indescribable
To a joy that never ends
I want to be there
I want to be there
Chorus:
Join me, Join me!
Join me on a journey to the stars
Join me, share with me
This hope that keeps on burning in my heart
YOU ARE A NEW CREATION
Inspired by 1 Peter 1:13-16
You are a new creation
Made to be perfect, and full of grace
No longer part of the past
No longer clinging to the former ways
He is making everything new for you, it’s
true
He is making a brand new kind of world for you
No eye has seen it, no mind can imagine
How beautiful and exciting it would be
You’ll be a new creation
A spirit of love and awesome power
Pure as the living waters
Shining as brightly as the sun
He is making everything new for you, it’s
true
He is making a brand new kind of world for you
No eye has seen it, no mind can imagine
How beautiful and exciting it would be
No eye has seen it, no mind can imagine
How beautiful and exciting it would be
LOVE THE CHILDREN
OF THE LORD
Inspired by 1 Peter 1:22, Matthew
5:43-48, James 2:14-26
A smile, a touch, a warm embrace
Goes a long, long way
To lift the spirits of a broken soul
The time to talk, the time to listen
The time to be a friend
Shows in actions that you truly care
Ref:
Love the children of the Lord, just as He loves you
He paid the price you should have paid
That grace may freely flow
Love the children of the Lord, deeply from the heart
Care for all God’s children
It’s what we all must do
Words of kindness, words of hope
Thoughtful things you do
Make the Father smile down upon you
A humble spirit, a cheerful heart
Spreads the love of God
It shows so clearly that you are His child
Ref:
Love the children of the Lord, just as He loves you
He paid the price you should have paid
So grace may freely flow
Love the children of the Lord, deeply from the heart
Care for all God’s children
It’s what we all must do
Coda:
Spread the light, and shine in the dark
Be a friend to all
Be a light, let it show in your life
As a child of God
Love the children of the Lord
Just as He loves you
He paid the price you should have paid
So grace may freely flow
Love the children of the Lord,
Deeply from the heart
Care for all God’s children
Even those who don’t love you
